API questions

After 25 years of a clean record and no diciplinary problems, I was caught taking two Tylenol 3 from the pixes,my only one violation, I was sent for a urine test, which came back positive, and I panicked and resigned my position of 14 years. Now I have been referred to API, and I have ten thousand questions. I have scheduled my evaluation, 4 hours away from Miami for next week. I'm worry that the program will send as far for treatment. I'm not sure how long it will last. Any help? Are they any meetings in Miami? has anyone in the area gone through the same thing. I have not stop crying. Any answer would help please.

    This is horrible, but it is not the end of the road. You made a mistake, you are human- the only thing to do now is to go step by step through the process. Its going to be difficult as you have to give up control- but no matter the reason for coming into a situation like this you will come out a different person.
