Anyone do virtual ATI and pass?

Published

Has anyone done virtual ATI and benifit from it and pass? How did you guys like it and how was it helpful. I'm a repeat test taker and I have tried everything out there... I need insight on virtual ATI.

Hey I did ! I think ATI is header than the nclex. Worked for me and many other friends I know. We all pass.

Specializes in CMSRN.

I didn't do the Virtual ATI much because we did a Live Review and the Virtual seemed to be the same stuff from the Live Review. That being said, I did like the Live Review and do think it was helpful. I also did all the tests I could and those were a great content review. Good luck!

I did it in conjunction with Kaplan bc ATI was offered through my school. Kaplan was way harder and will make you pass in 75 Qs. ATI is good so you don't get the easy Qs wrong but if I had to choose btw the two, I'd go with Kaplan 100% of the time. To be fair, I will state that I have friends that just did ATI and still passed.

See I did Kaplan and failed and did hurst and failed... ATI is offered through school so I contacted them and they r willing to give me virtual ATI with a tutor and I heard its alot of busy work.. But wanted to know what everyone else thought. I rem te questions when in school being constant based but not challenging.. But I could be wrong. Bc it's been a while for me... Kaplan was great but I don't know why I still didn't pass

:( I'm lost on what to do... And ATI is my next only option.....

I am sorry to hear about the other attempts but hopefully 3rd time is a charm. How long did you wait btw exams? As I stated from my test plan above, I did about 5K of Qs in about 3 weeks time (keep in mind this includes retaking tests consisting of Qs I had previously answered incorrectly). I did a 4 day Kaplan session but did not use their videos or tutors (same holds true for ATI except for 2, 3-day mandatory sessions throughout the course of the semester). Each of my mentors told me to keep doing Qs and to know the rationales. If I got something wrong (and even sometimes if I got something right) and I didn't understand, I would just look that disease state, symptom, intervention, or situation up.

The thing with Kaplan is that they state you MUST be strong in content to take their program as it teaches test taking skills, not content. I found that their Q bank and test trainers were invaluable resources. A friend of mine did Hurst with the videos and worksheets etc and others did ATI and passed, so that's not to say that Kaplan is the end-all-be-all but I found it to be mostly like the real thing. If you still have access to Kaplan, I would try it in conjunction with ATI but be aware that some of their rationales conflict in which case I went with Kaplan's (little things like to put on O2 or sit up the head of the bed first).

I have not taken the nclex yet. In school I was struggling with med surg, and to graduate we were required to take an exit exam with a score higher than I had ever achieved. A professor recommended I listen to Feuer. I did. When I woke up, drove, went grocery shopping I listened to med surg. I was able to pass my exit exam with 98% which was so unlike me as I had been struggling through nursing school. So I would purchase Feuer, use ATI, and get a private tutor.
