anyone use pearson vue study guide?

Hi everyone, I'm new to this site and would like to pick your brain....

I've been studying the last 7 weeks about 4 days a week about 3 hrs a day.

I've used the Pearson Vue study book that a teacher gave me and I used it thinking that since pearson vue is the testing center it would help me get an edge on how the exam would be....

so when i went to take my test today it seemed the total opposite... I mean the study book vs the actual test seemed very different. after a few weeks of the study guide CD i've been getting an average of 80%+

but once i sat down and went through about 20 questions on the actual NCLEX-PN, i started to think to myself :mad:Crap i just wasted dollarsign.png200.

What I'd like to know from others that have passed the NCLEX-PN which book you've used and test bank. I have access to the 4th Saunders Comprehensive which i think i'll start after thanksgiving. Still don't know if I've passed or not but don't want to get to comfortable of not being able to study and lose what I've so far kept from school and all...

    I have the pearson exam cram book and the saunders book. I read over the whole book and noticed I kinda sucked when it came to answering the questions that came with that book. Saunders was the book my school issued us. I hated that book. I wanted to burn it. BUT, I loved that disc that came with it. I did it on the study mode so I could see my results right away. I spent three weeks studying pretty much the whole day almost everyday. I would answer anywhere from 200-300 questions a day.

    Now, I wouldn't put yourself down now about not passing. I'd wait and see what your results are. When I sat down to take my NCLEX I thought to myself, *** ARE SOME OF THESE QUESTIONS?! I had a roller coaster of emotions while I took my NCLEX. I felt great about some questions, others I felt so-so, and some I just wanted to break down and cry. 2.5 hours later, it stopped at 86 questions and I found out the very next day I passed.

    I had some classmates who answered all 205 questions, went to the parking lot and cried. They still passed. Hang in there. Let us know how it went!

    I "Crammed" too. I also used "Nursing made incredibly easy" to remember acronyms. However, most people say that what they studied wasn't on the test, and that was my case.
