I'm just curious what has been people's experience. I am licensed in three states, and one is DC. I have been trying to find out more about the monitoring program in DC but so far there is very little information available. Their BON has one half page letter talking about the existence of an AtD program but that's it

I believe D.C. is under Maryland's PDMP, but I'm not 100% sure.
Is it possible to complete your program in another state your licensed in?
I remember hearing from someone from the program I completed who was from Maryland that their program is one of the tougher ones-- 5 year minimum. (To be fair, many other states also require a 5 year "sentence").
There are also quite a few other states that only require 1.5-3 years, depending. (I've heard Virginia's program isn't that bad; same goes for PA & DE).
I hope this was somewhat helpful. Wishing you all the best!!

Thank you! The website is pretty barebones. I checked the nurse practice act and there is minimum info available, but I think it is separate from MD. I want to move to DC, and am desperate to get the OK to get out of my state. The typical time here is 5 years and I would literally rather die than live in my state for more than a year
