I believe TWU is but I can't figure out the rest of the programs, and I really want to stay in TX, doesn't really matter where to be honest because I love most of the state. I would like a BSN program but not necessarily the fast track. I am within a year of finishing a Bachelor's finally with concentrations in Computer Science, Biology and Math. I had a really rough start and made excuses about my performance and took a few years off, now working full time I am back to almost all A's. I should graduate with a 3.1 overall (changed programs) but a 3.5 program GPA. My pre-reqs for nursing are complete with a 3.9-ish GPA in just pre-reqs.
I started out in EECS program and in my heart I knew it was wrong for me and would keep trying to integrate my desires for a career in the medical field into my projects for those classes. Eventually I ended up in the hospital having surgery in my second year there during finals, then got married/pregnant and had my daughter. Lost 5 members of my family during the course of a year and I just let it all completely tear me down and just did horrible during that time in school.
Originally, right out of high school I wanted to start a CNA training program through the local nursing home, just never sure why I didn't do it or than someone telling me more money in computers and to forget about health care. Oh how I wish I had ignored them!
I am gearing up to take entrance exams and wanting to narrow down to programs that will have a higher chance of getting in so I know which exams to plan for. (BTW I'm a really good test taker and I'm getting almost perfect scores through all the various preparation exam books I've picked up)
So there's my history, anyone know of a BSN program that would be a good match? :)
Well looks like I found my list of programs I'll apply to. TWU, South Plains College, TTU, Midwestern State University, and WTAMU. :) I'm sure to get into at least one of those programs.
