Anyone get accepted into a nursing program while being an out of district resident?

I was wondering if there are people out there that have been accepted into a nursing program while being out of district?

I have applied to one program that I am a resident for but I am feeling anxious and want to apply for another. I would be considered out of district. Even though I live 1 mile from the campus.

Just wanted to know if it's a waste of time or if I have a chance.

You might want to specify where you are located. Are you outside the U.S.? Not really an issue being out of state except for paying higher tuition.

I am in il. I meant I am not part of that particular school district.
