anyone else get an interview at Baylor? Any advice from present students?

Last night i received an interview invitation to Baylor. Just wondering if anyone else did and if you are going to go. I already got in at TCU and it is my first choice, so I don't know what I should do. If i do go, any advice on interview questions, etc. Thanks

If you have already been accepted at TCU and it is your first choice, then let Baylor know that you will not be interviewing with them. The Director and Associate Director are very busy people and as a courtesy to them and to your fellow applicants you should withdraw your name from their interview list.

By the way TCU is a good choice as is Baylor. I happen to know the Directors and Associate Directors at both schools and you can't go wrong at either place.

I agree. If you are undecided and and want to compare programs to determine the best fit for you, by all means go to your other interviews. However, as DreamMatrix pointed out, if you have already been accepted to your first choice program, then turn down the other interview and give someone else the chance to interview. Congratulations on your acceptance to TCU!

I got an interview to Baylor yesterday also and will def. be attending. Have one at TWU in Feb. Taking CCRN in 2wks so can't get TCU interview set up until then. I know students at both programs and they have nothing but good things to say about each. I have been told however that due to the small class sizes of Baylor vs TCU you have more projects and speeches but you are closer to instructors.

The Baylor students are treated very similar to Baylor MD anesthesia residents and are required to pull 24hr call at times. You may see more complex cases at Baylor as opposed to many TCU affiliations d/t the Level 1 trauma center and Debakey hrt centers affiliation with Baylor. All in all both programs are on the top of my list so I hope to get accepted to both and be able to choose.

Yes, if i decide not to interview at baylor I will def let them know. I am out of town on business so I'll get home talk about it with the hubby and make a decision. Thanks for whatever info you can provide. I appreciate the help as usual.

Congratulations on your interview. Good luck, it's quite an endurance test. I will tell you some of the questions they will ask you involve interpreting 12 lead EKG, ABG and interventions to go with, the formulas for cardiac output and SVR, as well as odd personal questions like "What's your favorite color?" The interviews take all day, but they feed you lunch and in between interviews the first years will talk with you and kind of calm your nerves. They also put on a happy hour for you afterward at a local pub. Best of luck. Let me know how it goes for you.
