Anyone else do correlation maps?

We do what is called Concept maps which sounds like the same thing. I think there are several ways you can do it but i ended up doing a big bubble map pretty much. The present dx in center and all past med hx listed seperately across top of page. Then any past med that would like with another or with the present dx we drew lines to. Under each dx past or present anything that would relate such as meds, labs, interventions, symptoms, and so on under which dx it would relate to. We had to put 5 nursing diagnosis listed across bottom of page with three interventions for each including meds and so if not listed in the above dx. Nursing diagnosis had to be linked to the dx as well. I bought colored pencils since there were lines going back and forth to keep it littlemore organized or easy to distinguish what goes with what. I did google concept maps prior and found a few sites that showed an example of how some are set up but other than that i didnt use any resources and it got me a good grade. Not sure this will help it is kinda confusing when you first start it but it kinda comes together in the end. And of course you need a small section that tell pt info they are supposed to be able to look at the concept map and know everything that is going on with your pt and what is being done about it. Concept maps

Our school does them. I don't know what's worse, a concept map or a care plan And I've now done both.

I kind of like concept maps, they help me relate what I'm doing with the patient to the nursing diagnoses. And then the labs and such just fall into place. Or so they should

My husband's an engineer and he's seen what I've done, he says they look like flowsheets that he uses.
