Anyone in the DNP program?

Hey!

So I'm a nursing student in Canada and I was informed about the DNP program in the states. It looks really interesting! I especially like the fact that they now have psych DNP programs! The U.S is really improving it's mental health care! I really wish Canada would do this, our mental health system is miserable. Patients are always only referred to psychiatrists who only really focus on prescriptions and psychologists are too expensive and not covered by OHIP (Ontarios universal health care plan). But the question I am posing is I am interested in hearing from peope who are in this program or have graduated. I would like to take either acute care or family as these are the only two Ontario recognizes. Is it a really good program?

Thanks in advance!
