Any Spring or Summer 2013 programs still taking applications.

So where I live there is a waitlist of about three years to start the ADN program. I would like to apply to any Cal States that have programs that start in Summer 2013 (so I dont have to break my rental lease). Do any programs start in summer or just fall 2013?

Hey there SlaveHeart,

Just thought I would chime in and perhaps make a suggestion to you. There is so much you could do in the 3 years you are waiting for an ADN program if that is the case. Pursue an education in something else while you wait. Just a thought. The other thing I would recommend is that you look at the future of ADN's in nursing in general. With that, I wish you luck.

If you already have a B.A., there is the Sac State ASBSN. It starts in June, I think. Apps are due in Jan/Feb 2013. And there is Samuel Merritt, which has apps due at various time through the year; that program only takes a year, but it costs a ton.

If your grades are good, you could apply to Hartnell College ADN in Salinas. They have no waitlist but take the best students (academically). Their apps are due in Feb, I think.

Also (you may know this), if you are on a waitinglist for Cabrillo, MPC and a number of other ADN programs in the Monterey/Santa Cruz area, you can pursue your BSN in the meantime (while you wait) through a new program at CSU MB (Monterey Bay).

Not sure it those help. Good luck.
