Any foreign nurses processing for nclex?

I am about to start processing my NCLEX application here in MA. My concern is after getting the license is it true that Foreign Nurses have to study for a refresher course before you can practice? and how long will it take for foreign nurses to get ATT? Thank You!!!

You are applying for registration, NCLEX is a part of the process.

Average processing times for application as a International trained nurse is 4 months but a lot will depend on how timely your CES report is processed by information getting to CGFNS. I guess each application will be done on merit and if you haven't nursed for several years then a refresher course may be required

It also depends on the requirements for IENs and when are you able to complete them. Once the prospective BON approved your application, then you'll received the eligibility from BON, therefore you can go ahead and register on PEARSON, after that you will have to notify the BON that you're done with the registration. You will receive your ATT anytime after the registration.

I've read that some states would require you to take a refresher course if you didn't have any RN experience prior to application.
