I have a term paper due on Wednesday Re: antibiotic resistance. He asked us to include in our papers (among other things) some information on recently invented antibiotics. Does anyone know the names of any new ABs that I can research?
Thanks!

Rachel: I did a google search using the words "antibiotics development timeline" and came up with many sites, but one stood out: http://www.informationheadquarters.com/List_of_themed_timelines and choose antibiotics from their list.
Google search (or any search engine, for that matter) is a wonderful tool. Sometimes requires a little fiddling with the search words but you'll get the hang of it. For example, I started the search with antibiotics development recent = no go. Then tried another group, until I thought to try the three above. Good luck to you.
It's not posting the url correctly: after the .com should be /List_of_themed_timelines

Our Infectious Disease MDs are in love with Zyvox. Until 2 weeks ago no one on the floor had ever heard of it. Try that one! Also try the CDC website (CDC.gov). They have a huge section on antibiotic resistant strains.
