There is a big debate on one of my pregnancy forum's and wanted to know how you do things regarding internal exams. Should internal exams be limited? I have been getting a internal exam every week since 35 weeks and I questioned the doctor and he said that they should be limited once my water breaks. I read that GBS can pass thru the barriers even if anything isn't ruptured. Some women get exams every week and some don't.
Thanks,
Jenn

Hi, Jenn,
Your OB is correct. Yes, exams are limited as much as possible in any pregancy, but, as for the GBS, if membranes are intact there is very, very little reason to be concerned.
Hope you are doing well.
Count down to labor day!!! (not Labor Day......that is past.....YOUR labor day......hee hee).
