I applied to CSU Fresno back in March and was put on the Alternate List as of May 10. Here I am 3 months later, still waiting and just biding my time with getting a new car (yay!) and now working at Five Guys and my parent's business to make those payments.
I finished my third year of school with a 3.62 GPA for Pre-Nursing GE reqs, and 3.76 cumulative GPA. My TEAS score was an 80%, which is decent, I hear. Lucky for me, however, I apparently applied during the semester with the second highest GPA average they've had. Bummer.
In the meantime, I'm trying to figure out other places to get my BSN, since I know it's really expensive to go from LVN or CNA to ASN in nursing to BSN.... and most hospitals don't consider applicants without a BSN anyway.
Anyone else in my situation? Any advice? I'm really stressed out from this wait and just need something to keep my flame going for this profession.
