Miss C was one of the residents of the nursing home I worked in. She had Alzheimer's but sometimes she was quite lucid. She was short, cute and funny. Much to the horror of her family, she would sit in the dayroom and sometimes yell out, "I've got to shi..!" or "I've got to pis..!" She would yell this loudly until someone would rush over to wheel her down to the toilet. (Her family claims she had never used profanity in her pre-Alzheimer's days.) One Sunday afternoon I took Miss C and a few other residents downstairs to a church service. I park Miss C and sit down beside her and she yells, "I've got to ..," but before she finishes her sentence, she leans over and whispers to me "pee pee" and smiles. I love that lady.
