AHA Fees

I am a new TCC for an Level 2 Trauma Hospital in Texas. I was curious what other facility charges for AHA classes such as BLS,PALS,ACLS. If an employee of our hospital takes the AHA class than their is no charge.

depends on the local market. AHA charges all training centers the same amount for supplies but the training center and instructor is free to charge whatever the market will bear. We charge $30 for BLS, $225 for ACLS, PALS, STABLE and NRP. That is about average for our area

Once I had to take BLS through community ed...I can't remember why, but I think it was $60ish. I think I was on materity leave when it expired, I'd spaced on renewing it before I left, and the facility wasn't having another for a while. Aside from that time, my facilities have paid us to take the classes.

$225 is for provider courses? What is the charge for renewal and instructor? We charge $60.00 for HCP basic/ Renewal CPR and for skills check-off $35.00.

our fees are for people not employed at our facility. Employees are free.

Same here we do not charge our employees just comunity. I am trying to make sure our prices are comparable.
