Affording Nursing School

Hi, y'all. I'm new here. I was wondering how other students pay their bills and such things while in nursing school. I understand there's financial aid, grants, and scholarships to help with tuition, books, supplies, etc., but how do bills get paid since most can't work or work very little while in their programs.

Do FA/grants/scholarships also go towards helping pay bills while in school or is it strictly for the cost of the program itself?

Thanks!

Also I'm not sure if this is in the right forum, so I apologize if it needs to be moved.

Grants and loans can be used to pay bills, as well. The best way for you, personally, to handle your finances depends on your individual circumstances.

I'll be able to work until I start the program and then I'll at least try to maintain a part time job even if it's just a few hours a week, but that won't cover all my bills. I am trying to figure out what I can pay off or minimize before getting into the program so my bills are at least lessened.
