AF COT 08/23/2010 Anyone Else out there?

Hey All,

I will be going to COT on 08/23/2010. Are there any other people going to be there at the same time? I know that I am very early in posting this but I'd rather be months early than 1 minute late. :D I would just like to get to know someone in advance if possible.

Hello! Congratulations on getting in!! I've read some of your other posts... I can't believe you got Elmendorf as a new grad- Good luck!

I'm also a senior in nursing school and my application is going to the January boards (fingers crossed!!). The plan from my recruiter is to go to August COT and I'm hoping that's what will happen! So, I *could* be there with you. I'm just trying to stay calm until around February 5th when we're supposed to hear about acceptance. I say the sooner the better for a few of us to "get to know" each other before COT, it would definitely make me feel a little more comfortable going into it!

There is a possibility for me to go in August. My packet was submitted last night to the board.

I'm also a senior in nursing school and my application was completed last month. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for August COT also! That's when I "should" be going to COT (according to my recruiter) if I get selected during the January boards. Good luck to everyone!! :)

Oh this is awesome! I wish all of you the BEST of LUCK! I am already counting down the days till graduation (122 to be exact! lol). Where is everyone from (you don't have to be very specific if you don't want to be)? I'm from an area that is considered to be a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA. Please keep me/us posted when you find out more details about acceptance and your hopeful COT date. :D Where does everyone hope to be stationed?

bsnkaty: Elmendorf was an extreme SHOCK! I was told that 90% of the time new grads were restricted to the regular 48 states. Well.. I'm in that odd-ball 10% already. I guess thats my "Welcome" to military life. hehe

Congrats!!! I'm hoping to go to August COT but I'm still in the process of completing my paper work. I'm hopfully submitting it by next month. Hope I get to see everyone in August COT

Hey everyone! I'm also a senior nursing student that will graduate in May. I just completed my application and hoping to get into the August COT. Good luck to all of you!

I didn't even put down any overseas bases because I just knew I wouldn't get it- Now, I'm just hoping to get one of my 4!!

I'm from south of Atlanta... I'm also counting down my days (114!! woohoo!) and cannot WAIT to hear from my recruiter. I hope February 5th comes quickly!

I am in the middle of the process an and my anticipated COT date is AUG 23 also! I am a senior in my RN - BSN program. Have you all taken NCLEX already? GOOD LUCK to all!

I'm in a generic program, so, I'll be taking it after graduation- maybe late June?

I would totally reccomend using the NCSBN review and their questions available for NCLEX reveiw! They were the most similar to the test!

BSN Graduation date is May 15, 2010. I was thinking of taking a short weekend NCLEX review course offered by Kapplan prior to taking boards in June/July.

Wow I must have went through this whole process extremely early. It is Great to hear from everyone! Again, Good Luck To Everyone in their Senior Year (if applicable) and with your USAF applications!

I am also going to be at COT in August! I will graduate with my BSN in May 2010 and then shortly thereafter take my NCLEX! I submitted to the October board, and found out in late November that I was accepted and where I was going - I was VERY pleased to find out that I got my first choice for both NTP and duty station! I'll be stationed at Lackland AFB in the L/D unit after NTP. Anyone else going to Lackland, or COT in August, shoot me a PM or a post reply!
