Advice

I would love some advice from someone who went through nursing school( preferably accelerated 15 months) and can tell me how did you mention your sanity in it. I feel being very insecure and needing to study nonstop. I am anxious all the time and to the pout that it is semi affevting my marriage being that I stay up late in the evening to study and I am basically moody and just say mean words.this is so not me but this program turned me into this person:(

You can do anything for 15 months.

Do you know what they call the nursing student who was last in his class and past the NCLEX....Nurse

C's get degree don't sacrifice anything high GPA doesn't get you a job....meeting the manager during clinicals will.

I'm not sure if I have advice on how to avoid the anxiety and maintain sanity, because I sure didn't. BUT, as stated above, you can do anything for 15 months. Your job will have its own challenges, but not like school. Not sure what your program is like, but if you can get involved in a study group, do. I didn't do that enough as I was mainly online, but it seemed to be helpful for many. Study smarter, not harder. If you study nonstop, you won't retain the info. Break it up into smaller chunks. Do your textbooks have podcasts available? That was new when I was in school but it was a nice adjunct to reading text until my eyes bled.

Above all, remember that some anxiety is normal and is how you'll get things done. Just make sure you take care of yourself and manage your time as best you can. Best of luck!
