My nursing license was suspended over 6 months ago originally drug diversion and was doing really well until I recieved a new monitoring agent ,, I had not sent my reports in on a timely manner and she sent me in front of the review board and during that time I was on family medical leave act for mono in which I could not afford first lab drug testing and she had advised me that they were going to suspend my license ,, I am not sure if I have a chance of getting them back but I go in front of the review board on the 15th and didnt know if anyone has any advice for me? I am a mds nurse in which I love and miss dearly but not sure if they could restrict me to that or if they will revolk my license!! This is one of those unfortunate times that I would consult with an attorney. I loathe them (lawyers, that is) because they will take your hard earned money, regardless of whether or not your case is one that could be managed without their advice.

Each monitoring contract lays out expectations and requirements. Monitoring reports, urinalysis, lenghth of contracts, etc.. Unfortunately when you enter one of these contracts you are promising to adhere to these requirements and the punishment, so to speak, is the chance of losing your status in the contract. You should research your contract and any manuals or policy information you have obtained from your case manager. Have all the information and make more contacts to your case manager. Good Luck.
