Advice needed on whether to continue to work on Med Surg/oncology floor...

I am looking for advice regarding whether to continue to work on a med-surg/oncology floor or go work at a physician's office and become a radiation oncology nurse working m-f or work for the health department in the nurse family partnership program. The floor I work on is very difficult and has very high acuity levels, usually 6 pts to 1 and will usually have all high acuities. I love my floor in that I am always learning something new and practice a lot of my skills. I have been a nurse for a year and a half. I also love the schedule which is 3 on 4 off but I am often to exhausted to do anything on my days off since I usually work 14hrs a day. I guess I am asking for advice because my goal is to be a nurse practitioner and am debating whether I should stay in the hospital or transition into a m-f schedule at a physicians office or at the health department. Whether I decide to go with either job I plan on staying at tr hospital PRN. I currently work 2 jobs so I know I will be able to continue to work PRN at the hospital. I was also wanting to find any tips as far as how to properly assign acuity levels on an oncology floor and what methods work best. Many of our nurses are quitting because how heavy the patient load is and feeling it is not being assigned fairly. Can any radiation oncology nurses give me advice as to the role of a radiation oncology nurse and any advice going into that field? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
