Hi there:
To let everyone knows about me, I am Cuban born, 7 years in the US, graduated BSN in Havana 2001.
I applied to UMDNJ once I was selected for interview, but i wasn't ready for panel yet, I did poorly cause my brain stopped thinking right, very unpleasant feeling.
I decided never applying again, but two years later, i think I am ready again, this time with the luggage from the past, not naive anymore about what you suppose to master for the big day.
Instead of applying in one school I am applying in 5 to 7, CT, DC, NJ, PA, my GPA is 3.72, and I have 4 years ICU exp in the US, MICU and CTICU, I know that my issue was the interview, cause in 160 I made the small group very fast.
I am currently studying for the CCRN exam, i consider is a good way to kill two birds same shot, cause make you a better ICU nurse and very well prepared for interview and future degree as well.
I'll do appreciate any words of support, I am 37 years old do you guys think its too old?
The best for everyone, you will all win this battle, sooner or later cause CRNA applicant are all the crowd with big dreams and the ones that practice self discipline.
Regards.
H.
