Thanks so much for the quick response. Although some of those schools do offer ADN to MSN NP track most are just MSN programs. I'm looking for ADN to MSN NP programs in particular.

There are PLENTY of programs around the country and you do not need to be anywhere near the schools. However, you will have to visit the campuses for orientation, clinical proficiency exams, final testing, etc. So there will be some travel. I've looked around applied to two and 1 acceptence, 1 pending ( I guess). Anyway, anywhere from $450-$1000 per credit hour and 52-74 (depending on what you need) credits.

Some will need grad admissions testing or above 3.2 gpa, some nothing. Really is kind of screwy on standards. The online coursework seems to be a cookie cutter courseware purchased through a 3rd party. Clinicals are all up the school, too. National standards is like 500+ hours minimum but I've seen programs up to 1000+ hours. That's going to be a big deal in the future so consider that.

My schools are in Alabama, easy enough to find. Frontier Nursing seems to pop up in discussions a lot. Anyway, 1/2 hr and Google and you "should" come up with PLENTY of options in every state. Most are too close to worry about differentiating. Just pick which one fits' your circumstance.

Well, I'm underway in my RN to MSN-NP program. Samford University, Alabama. A little pricey but a good program. Basically, need ADN and license, above a 3.2 gpa or take the MAT and be on probation. Using Moodle for course delivery. Have to go to campus 3 times in first year for intro, Health assessment intro (masters portion of the program) and finals for health assessment. There are bridge courses which this school does not award a BSN. They are the same courses you would need for a BSN completion. Then you do the Masters coursework and lots of clinicals, about 700 hours. There is also University of South Alabama. They will be doing away with most of these programs as time goes on b/c the push for BSN as the standard and DNP for nurse practitioner. I think 2015 is the grandfather cutoff date for MSN-NP so you got to do something quick.
