ADN to BSN

Nursing Students General Students

I'm currently trying to get into Sac City or ARC's nursing program, can anyone tell me how they go upon selecting students? I know their programs are only a associates degrees, but is getting into a BSN program at a university after having an ADN easier? Do they still look for students with the best GPA's? I'm saying this because I'm only about a 3.4 in the prereqs, that's why I'm looking for alternatives to pursue my dream. I know nursing programs are really hard to get into now and since my local community college has a program for relatively cheap, I was thinking about that option if I don't get into a BSN program at a University right away.

3.0 is the minimum science gpa, and you're well above that with a 3.4. You are assigned "points" that make you eligible to apply. After you are eligible, you're placed in a pool with all other eligible candidates.

I'm not sure whether they actually take a look at candidate profiles once they meet the minimum requirement. I'm pretty sure that officially, they do not.

After you obtain your ADN, there are countless and abundant options to obtain your BSN online. Locally, there are also a few options: Sac State, Univ of Phoenix, Samuel Merrit.

The ADN program at ARC also offers concurrent enrollment with a few different BSN programs, so that your BSN is done a semester after you finish your ADN.
