What does the alternate placement mean in the nursing program?

Alternate placement can mean different things. I do not have enough information or context to answer the question sufficiently.

In the admissions process, alternate placement indicates you were accepted into the nursing program as an alternate. If an unconditionally accepted candidate drops out fairly soon after the first semester starts, you (or one of the other students on the alternate list) will be called to accept that now vacant spot.

Alternate placement can also refer to clinical practicum rotations, etc. Again, I am lacking info or context, so I am throwing darts in the dark as I answer you.

I am an alternate as well :( alternate number 12. I am so scared that I will not be chosen. It depends on what number you are on the list. But say you are alternate number one. If one person chooses not to accept their spot in the program then you are in the program. Say you are number 5 then 5 people have to deny their spot so you can take it. I hope this helps!!

I am an alternate as well for Lawrenceburg campus,I hope that I get in. Good luck to everyone!
