hi! i graduated two years ago with a bs in biology with a 2.57 gpa. i since then have been re evaluating and taking nursing pre reqs with all A's, working as a scribe and getting good letters of rec. I recently got into an Masters of biotechnology program but I don't want to accept it because it's not in the nursing field, however I am nervous because my gpa is so low. thinking of taking this masters program and proving to schools that I have turned my life around and can apply to nursing after this program. however, it is two years of time and money. I am wondering anyone's thoughts. my plan before i got into this program was to take the GRE this august, finish my pre reqs this summer in school (nutrition and developmental psych), re take physio this fall (A in the class, D in the lab so i have to re do the whole thing) and to apply this fall and throughout the next year for masters in nursing or Accelerated bachelors. would love any advice or thoughts.

I wouldn't waste the money. Nursing school won't really care about your masters degree because it is not any type of nursing degree. You need to retake classes and get your GPA up so you can be competitive because right now you are not. You need to be up to at least a 3.5 GPA especially in CA to probably even be cobsidered.
