Action Research activities

Hi, I am looking for assistance to help me iron out how I could give an example of action research actitivities. I have looked up the term action research activities and it seems that its based on those nurses who go into the research field doing either qualititative or quantitative research (this I have never done at school). Also, I have the idea to think maybe its got to do with having to go on and apply yourself to research new procedures or drugs that come out into the market (this I have done many of times and could share for examples) that help with quality of care.

Anyways, I am not sure if anyone can help me but if you can I will be so happy

;)

In my PhD program (in the USA), the term "action research" was used to signify research that focused on the making of a change -- such as a social change, cultural change, practice change, etc.

I can't be sure if the term means the same in your class, but I thought I would share that in case it does.

Good luck,

llg
