ACLS or TNCC

Hey All, looking to see if anyone knows where to get ACLS or TNCC training in BC? I know the Justice Institute does the ACLS but am not sure about the TNCC. I want to get these courses done and am hoping that I don't have to wait for the to come around my area.

thanks!

If you're desperate, you could always pop down to Seattle and area for some education.

I have no idea what's available in BC. Have you called around?

yeah I've done some calling and the course is held periodically in various health regions around the province but there seems to be no set schedule other than the one provided by the JIBC. Where are they hosted in Seattle? thanks for the reply.

Call the hospitals in Seattle and ask when their classes are. Often they can give you dates for classes coming up months in advance. The occasional facility only provides classes to their own staff, but most let others in. Also, sometimes there are independent companies that provide these classes, however I don't know if there are any in Seattle.

You might try this site to get some phone numbers to call in Seattle and maybe in Idaho, as well, if you're interested.

Good luck!

Hi Saskrn. If you're in Vancouver, try Global Medical www.global-medical.ca/responder.htm - they teach a lot of classes. I did my ACLS with them 2 years ago and felt really supported - the instructors were great and it wasn't at all threatening as I'd heard the boot camp is through the Justice Institute. For the TNCC go onto the NENA website at www.nena.ca There are TNCC courses all over the province. You could just call up your local ER department as they will be aware of when the next one is taking place. Good luck-
