Accepted into Darton nursing for fall 2012! Now What?

if there is anyone that knows anything about the living in albany please let me know. i'm in need of a safe, peaceful, kid friendly environment. i need a three bedroom with a yard and spacious closets. i have alot of people saying albany has high crime so lee county which is up the road is safer and have better schools for kids. if you know anything or anyone that can help me with this transition please let me know. you can private message me or email me at [email protected] i will also accept an apartment if it has space inside!!!!

I would definitely recommend lee co over Albany. I basically lived there during paramedic school. Albany as a town is ok. Schools aren't great. Most parents who can afford it send their kids to private schools. I can't tell you much about the housing market. There are some nice neighborhoods and there are some not so nice ones. You might want to go spend a weekend there and see what you think. The area around the college isn't bad at all. There's a decent amount of stuff to do and restaurants and a mall. The river front area is nice. It's hot and muggy though.

Thanks so much for the advice and yes everyone has said the same thing you stated about lee county. Luckly I have found some property in the lee county area that I think my family will enjoy. I was mainly worried about safety and good education for the kids and I think we will have that in this area we picked!!!!!
