Accepted & Nervous??

So I got the call today that I was accepted into a BSN program!! Whoop whoo... Wait a minute!! I'm nervous as hell...

I actually feel more panicked than nervous. Don't get me wrong, I'm stoked I got accepted into nursing school. BUT the realization of having to balance work, school, and family just kicked in...

Is it normal to be more nervous than excited??

I will say a prayer for you I am studying now to take entrance exam. All I can say is that when you truly want something nothing will stop you from getting it. Good Luck with everything!

Congratulations! It is so normal to be nervous! Just take a deep breath and set up a good schedule to plan everything out. You can do it!

Congrats! You will initially feel excited and then reality kicks in, nervousness. You soon realize you have a lot of work ahead of you, but you will be fine. We've all gone through that initial phase of mixed emotions. Again, congratulations on getting into nursing school.

Thank y'all for the feedback!! @shanfuturern, I need to start praying as well. Which entrance exam are you taking?? HESI or TEAS?? I wish you the best of luck and definitely update me on how you did. I'm sure you'll be fine. :)

@Ndoht, I will definitely be investing in a planner. I feel as though the next few years will go by smoothly if I just write out all the syllabus I receive.

@gigi_gin, thank you soo much for clarifying that I'm not alone and this is normal. Lol. My nervousness actually had me thinking that maybe I'm not ready. Lol!! It just happened soo fast after my intial rejoicing.

I have a pre-enrollment session for next week, so hopefully I'll feel better once I get the finacial part out the way and do my drug screening & background.

It's very normal to be nervous, you are starting your career! Although exciting, I can imagine being so nervous if I got in also. I'm sure you will do great! Just get a plan going, organize have everything ready weeks before. Congrats you are going to be an Nurse. Hope I can say so myself soon :)

Thank you!! I guess it all boils down to managing my time. That makes me nervous. Lol. But I am going to invest in an organizer/planner and actually start that asap, so I can get into the habit of writing in it and viewing it on a regular. When are you applying to nursing school??

Congrats :)

So happy for you and yesss!!! its very normal to feel that way (i felt that way long ago). back when i was in nursing school, many colleagues were single mothers balancing school and work. they did great. now they are very successful RN's. Its not an easy road but its all worth it in the end!! i wish you the best of luck and congrats… pray.. breathe..be happy.:)
