accepted! also nervous.

Published

I got accepted for clinicals in January, and I'm very happy that I did. I'm also nervous though. Here are my main concerns- if anyone can help with advice or personal experience I'd really appreciate it.

1)Vomiting/fainting/crying- I'm a sensitive person and I'm worried that I might do these. Should I just expect it to happen and then just get over it?

2)Being completely awkward with patients- I already know I'll be nervous. But I really don't want to be a bumbling ass who seems to have no idea what I'm doing.

3)Trouble with nurses- I keep hearing about the hostility that people experience with other nursing students and other nurses. I'd like to think I'm easy to get along with, but what's the best way to deal with it if I experience this sort of hostility?

4)Trouble with professors. Professors usually like me, but I'm concerned. How can I get the clinical instructors to like me, but without being a brown-noser of course?

Thanks for any advice, guys.
