Accelerated Nursing Programs

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I have an undergraduate degree in Engineering and an MBA. I am currently living in the UK and will be moving back to the US in a year or two. I am interested in pursuing a second degree/accelerated nursing program. I have taken a few nursing prerequisite courses, chemistry (again, took over 10 years ago), biology (again, took over 10 years ago), anatomy, and microbiology.

My question is, what are some good accelerated nursing programs? I looked into Oshkosh in Wisconsin, but they required a CNA. I'm not interested in taking that step. I want to jump right into nursing school when I move back stateside. Also, being a military family, it makes this process a little more difficult because we don't choose where we live. So a program that maybe I can do from a distance and do clinical at a local hospital/clinic would be best.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

There are no ABSN programs that you can do online with local clinicals. The only Online ABSN program that I know of is Marian University, but it has clinicals/simulations in Indianapolis or Nashville.

I'm currently doing my prereqs through Marian as I'm living overseas. The OshKosh program is online with two weeks in Wisconsin, but only in a couple of states do the clinicals work. Thanks for your input.
