Accelerated BSN programs

Does anyone have any idea about the Accelerated BSN programs that do not require only US citizens or permanent residents applying?I was qualified for one of the accelerated programs, but could not join because we had to sign a two year contract and I do not have a visa on which I can work...

I am already into the regular BSN program which will start next week, but this program will take 3 years to complete since they do not offer nursing courses in summer, whereas accelerated will be completed in half the time.I am not working and do not have kids,so I could give all my time for that program, but unfortunately could not get into it....

Unless you are already in the US, I would not recommend the accelerated program for you. You are much better off doing it the regular way. Most of the programs are now afilitated with hospitals and they will wnat a two year contract from you. Also, to really excel in these programs you should be able to work as a nurse tech while you are in school and you would not be permitted to do thatr on the student visa.

What is the hurry?

As far as i know, many many Accelerated BSN programs accept foreign students. Try some private universities too, they don't care that you are a visa student.

A Problem with accelerated BSN is that it is too expensive. I'm going to a community college. Pre-req + 12 month accelerated BSN = Community college time.

As stated above, the accelerated programs are much moire expensive than the traditional programs. That is why there was the two year work commitment as many are partially funded by local hospitals.

Well thats the problem.I am also ready to sign the contract provided they sponsor me or something.

So you are looking for an accelerated BSN program that you can sign a work contract and get sponsorhip and financial support, not just an ordinary program. Sorry I think such contract almost always need you to have GC at least.

I dont need financial support. Also I want sponsorship just because they want me to sign the contract and I cannot work on my dependent visa.

The sponsorship is for when you get your RN, not for while you are a student.

Their sponsorship means that they will be funding your program but you have to be able to sign now that you will work for them, a different type of sponsorship than what you need to work in the US. You will have problems getting the sponsorship as a student, as they have no way of knowing if you will eventually meet the requirements for a Visa Screen Certificate, etc.

Personally, I would keep what you already have............
