Accelerated BSN Programs

Hello All,

I am in need of some help and advice. I recently was dismissed from a Nursing program due to two failures (a C in Pathophysiology and a C- in Fundamentals). This was a new Nursing program at my school that had just started the same semester I entered. It was very unorganized at first and did not turn out to be quite successful. Anyways, I will be graduating with a degree in Health Studies in May 2015 (this year). I am thinking of applying to accelerated BSN programs, but I know they can be very demanding and I'm afraid I won't get accepted because they will see that I have been dismissed from a program already. Even after dismissal from the program, my GPA is still a 3.06 and I plan to continue to raise my GPA during my last semester at my College. I know there are a lot of schools that don't let you apply to their program after being dismissed from another program, but there are also some that do not really mind (such as NYU, Stonybrook). I am located in NYC and want to know what is the best thing to do at this point? I really want to become a Registered Nurse but I'm afraid at this point it may not even be possible anymore
