Accelerated BSN/MSN programs you can apply to while in the middle of prerequisites

Hi,

I'm interested in direct entry/accelerated BSN/MSN programs. I am switching from the premed track and was disappointed to see that none of the courses transfer over/there are more courses to take. I saw that some programs you can apply to while you're in the middle of prereqs, so long as you finish them before matriculating.

I know that UPENN and MGH allow you to apply before finishing prereqs, and Yale doesn't require prereqs.

Does anyone know which programs allow this?

You have to check with each program. I know my school wont allow you to apply without all the prereqs. They just discard your application. You can take a few in the spring after you apply but they list the ones that MUST be completed prior to applying. (they allow you to do chem and psy. but not the other sciences) If you cant get them all in...you just have to wait till the next application date. :(

I applied to 6 direct entry MSN programs (Boston College, Yale, Northeastern, Vanderbilt, UIC, and DePaul) and none of them required that all of the pre-reqs be completed by the application deadline. I was going to apply to a 7th school, Rush, which does require all pre-reqs be completed before the application deadline, but I got into one of my other schools so I didn't end up applying.

Here's a list of all accelerated programs to help you research the requirements for other schools. http://www.aacn.nche.edu/leading-initiatives/research-data/GENMAS.pdf
