abstract?????

:uhoh21: I am in my second semester of my first year of the ADN program. We usually write Patient Profiles where we go into the patientt and expalin the patho of the diagnosis. They can go from 15-30 pages.

This week, I have to write an abstract instead of a patient profile. I asked my instructor what that was and how to do it. This is the first time I have had her for a clinical insturctor (we have 3 and rotate). She told me it is the same just without the patho and should only be 1-3 pages and no more.

I thought it would be simple but am having difficulty getting started. Maybe it's the fact she wants something simple and the others wanted in depth papers---is the reason I am struggling. I know some of you will laugh and say, just do it.

But how do I start an abstract??? IS it the same as a patient profile without the patho and just an explanation of the s/s and diagnosis.
