Aacn or Ccne

What is the difference between theses two accreditations?

I am considering two different colleges. Saint Benedict is a private school that is Aacn. There is less classes that are more credits.

And the other college is St. Cloud state it's a public university that is Ccne & has more classes you take that are worth less credits.

I am looking to get my bachelor in nursing. I am very unsure of what I should do now about my choice.

My chances of getting into st. Ben is much higher than St. Cloud but I want to go to St. Cloud more.

But after I graduate I want to do nursing residences in Florida. For nursing residences do they have a preference on who your college degree is accredited by?

By AACN, do you mean ACEN? ACEN and CCNE have similar criteria, but they differ in the type of program they accredit: ACEN accredits all types of programs while CCNE only accredits bachelors and masters programs.

The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (the only result I can get with AACN related to nursing school) contains the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, so they are one and the same.

Saint Benedict says this:

The baccalaureate program at the College of Saint Benedict/Saint John's University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education

And this:

um is structured around the AACN Essentials for Baccalaureate Nursing Education.

So, both schools are actually CCNE accredited. The AACN essentials is the "curricular elements and framework"; it is not an accreditation.
