I've been working on my AA and being dumb I thought this would lead me towards becoming not only an RN but having the requirements to go into a nursing program for my BSN. Just found out I'm sbout to take chem and a psyc this winter and idk what to do now. If I switch to get my AS it would take another year and half at elast to take 14 classes.. idk if i want to wait that long and if i do choose to do that, Id have to drop the classes i already chose because they would be irrelevant to what Im working towards and all counseling apts are booked.. Is it pointless to just work until i get my bsn? i need some help and input.. Im at a complete loss right now. I go to broward college

I'm not sure I completely understand what you are asking, but I see part of it is concern over if you should drop your classes because they don't pertain to a nursing degree. For that I would say yes. If you ultimately want to become ad RN, either BSN or ADN, then you need to take only the required courses. So you should drop the two that wont count and take classes that will. You need to find out specifically what classes need to be taken as pre requisites if you haven't already. You do not necessarily need to actually get your AS. You only need to complete the pre reqs. For some programs, the required courses will get you an AS, but not always. Before registering for any further courses you need to sit down with an admissions counselor at the colleges you are looking to apply at. They will tell you what classes to take. It may take you longer, but if you get a random AA degree, it wont help you get into nursing school, and will only make your journey to RN even longer. Cut your losses and get on track. I hope that kind of answers what you are looking for. If not then my bad.

Did your advisor list your major as Associate in Arts when it Should have been listed as an Associates in Science? So sorry about the delay, I would be beside myself.
