I currently have a student loan ( federal), for about $10,000. As in my other post, I'm looking into Deaconess for my LPN/RN. However, due to a serious injury my husband had 2 years ago, we had to file bankruptcy last year. Does anyone know if it's possible to obtain a government student loan with a past bankruptcy? I have never defaulted on my other loan, so that's not an issue. If I can't get a loan, I don't know how in the world I'll come up with $20,000 to pay for Deaconess ( or whatever the end result is!)
Thanks alot!

They don't run a credit check for federal student loans. I don't know if it's different if you've had a bankruptcy, though. I wouldn't think so. The govt. still wants you in school, and they want the interest. :)
