672/802

I am an MDS Coordinator in a 16 bed skilled area and 16 bed icf area. The other 124 beds are also skilled certified. I recently got disciplined, written warning, for when I was ill 2 skilled assessments got done late and I could have corrected it. It was explained to me that in my job duties I should have notified the other mds coordinator. I let them know it wasnt acceptable, didnt agree with it as I feel that my direct supervisor should have a plan for coverage when I am off. Now, I am getting pulled into a meeting to complete 672/802 forms and soon to be gone, not soon enough, DON thinks I should be the one updating those every week and not my supervisor; although the other 4 supervisors dont do mds and they are expected to do their own forms. I dont mind helping, but I feel like this will get dumped in my lap when I need to get my assessments done. Does any other mds coordinator out there have to do the 802/672 and have like 4 skilled admits in one day, 2 discharges same day, etc. I am feeling like I am being set up to fail.

My MDS nurses do NOT do the 672 or 802 forms. Each nurse manager is responsible for doing her own.

do you have any forms that are helpful to complete these? My superiors seem to think since I do the MDS for the skilled and ICF elders I know and remember everything. My RN Manager says we are doing them together. Thanks!
