Can someone help me calculate NHPPD? Who is included besides RNs LPNs and aides? Are unit secretaries and nurse managers included. I have the formula but am not sure who to include and I can't find the info elsewhere!

Hello again, I planned on studying as much as possible over Christmas break cause I don't want to try learning so much at once.I had read on triton's nursing forum that alot of people failed pharm and two class times were dropped. Thanks for the advice!! I asked Trina to add me to the mentor list and she said she would but I havn't seen anything else about it. I start clinicals in three weeks at westlake and i'm a little nervous. How are your clinicals so far?

That stinks because the other students are really the only ones who know what you will be going through while in the program. You will probably see them more than any of your family or friends. Atleast you apologized and you will be so busy the year will fly by. You learned a big lesson and I'm sure you won't do that when you start working. Gossiping was one of the topics our professors actually discussed. Besides if those people have time to gossip during nursing school they probably aren't too serious about learning and probably won't make it to the end of the year!

It is better to fulfill your prereqs before you enter the program because the classes are demanding and you will be given preference if you have them done. After your first two semesters (at Triton) you can take an lpn course (i think nur190) and then you can take the lpn test or choose to continue your adn. The adn rn program is a two year program.

Hello, I just started the nursing program at Triton in August and just finished my first two weeks. I was so glad to see your thread! How are you doing so far? If you are in pharmacology already can you give me some advice on what to study up on. I have heard that is the most challenging course so I want to definitely prepare. Best of luck to you!!!!

Hi Larry, I am currently in the nursing program at triton college and so far it has been awesome. The professors are great! You are not required to have a bach. degree to work as an rn but if you want to move up you will. Once you start in the hospital they might pay for you to get your bachs. The hours are a bit demanding and you have to take whatever they offer. We have been told that as the courses get harder it is almost impossible to work. Science courses are no longer valid 5 years after you have completed them and I would definitely suggest that you take all your prereqs before entering the program. Good luck!!!
