ER Tech or CNA

I'm currently at a junior college completing my prerequisites before applying for the nursing program. I'm a bank teller and will like to get my career started and get into the medical field to gain hands on experience. The college I am currently attending offers a EMT course. Will that help me in becoming an ER Tech? Or should I take a CNA course, gain experience and eventually transfer to a hospital? Any ER Techs that can tell me their experience and what paths they took to become a ER Tech. I will prefer being a ER Tech as I would like to be in a hospital setting, majority of the job openings for CNA and EMT ask for experience. What can i do with an EMT to gain experience to become a ER Tech.
