Struggling with Nclex

Hello there!

I never thought I would post this, but at this point I need to say it to someone, since my family has high expectations for me,its embarrassing telling that, even though I was a great nursing student ,I cant pass this test..I am an international nurse, graduated in 2012 back in Italy. I moved to the USA right after finishing college, so I don't have any work experience as a nurse.Once I arrived here I was full of hopes and dreams, I was looking at it as a new opportunity for me.After transferring all my school credits and passing the TOEFL I started preparing for the NCLEX. I took Kaplan ( which here in MA they say its the best). With only that I dared to take the test, even though I knew I wouldn't pass, but I wanted to know how was it.There's no doubt that is a good program but for me it didn't work and now I now why. I was lucking content. Now I'm taking the Hurst review which I like and I think helped, reading Saunders 5 edition at the same time, but still I don't feel prepared enough. I know that you will never feel prepared for that test, but I'm insecure. Reading so many things from different materials is so stressful. I don't have much connections here since i'm new, I don't know any international student in my situation, I don't have friends who can advise me

I have read so many posts here at all- nurses, fail and success stories and I don't want to make this sound a big deal, but for me it is..I feel lost. Sorry for making it so long but I really wanted to let it out.

"Since my family has high expectations for me," you are definitely not alone on that. I experience pressure from my family on a daily basis. I am also preparing with Hurst and Saunders. I hope we will pass this test! Good luck

I thought Kaplan was helpful. Sometimes the questions on both Kaplan and NCLEX were tricky and I don't even know what they are talking about as a person with English as a 1st language. Did you do all of the QBANK, and all of the trainers?? I am just not sure but you have my prayers, anyway. I am so sorry but do not give up!
