should I disclose arrest record to Wyoming BON?

Hello Everyone!

So im in a bit of a dilema. I was arrested at the age of 20 and to be honest I do not remember specifically what the charges were for. I just know that the charges were knocked down from a misdeameanor to a traffic infraction and the case was sealed. So Im in nursing school and im looking at the Wyoming BON application and they say to disclose all arrests, convictions etc. Well I was never convicted and I was unsure so I did a background check on myself through the FBI where you have to send in fingerprints. and the FBI sent back to me in results: A search of the fingerprints provided by this individual has revealed no prior arrest data at the FBI. So my question is whether or not I have to say yes or disclose information on the question where you ever have been arrested or convicted. Like I said before I wasn't convicted, but I was pretty sure my arrest record would show up and I was surprised when it did not. So now I am totally confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks!

Actually, you were convicted...of an infraction. It's not a felony or a misdemeanor, but it's still a conviction nonetheless.

You need to seek the advice of an attorney as to how to answer the questions, as we can't give legal advice here.

What may help you is asking your BON. Contact them--do it anonymously by e-mail if you prefer--to explain what happened and that you have traffic infraction on your record, and ask whether you have to disclose it.

Best of luck.
