I'm going to be graduating in May and I'm trying to decide whether I should pay $350 to take the Hurst review. Any advice?

HURST is a good content review because that is mainly their focus.

I didn't try Hurst review, but read many good things about it.

I took Hurst before my last semester in nursing school. I found that it really helped me to simplify and solidify concepts. I felt it was a great all over review, but did not go into specifics enough to help answer some of the Kaplan questions that I took later. I think it all depends on how you prefer to study and learn. I think that the Hurst review was really great for content review, I felt very confident about my abilities to answer questions. With a good foundation of content, you can answer questions without having to memorize a bunch of strategies. I also used the Saunders CD to help reinforce what I learned. However, I do recommend taking the NCLEX exam a week or two after the review while the info is still fresh in your mind.

I took Hurst. There are alot of mixed reviews on it. For me personally, I feel that it helped me in critical thinking but it didnt really help me on the test bc he didnt help me with test taking strateigies and her questions are not like the actual test. I do think that it has helped some ppl and think that it is amazing.

I feel that each review course has its own perks, and it really depends on what works for you.

I also took Kaplan. If you feel like your really good at critical thinking already, I wouldnt take it. If you feel like you need test taking strategies, than Kaplan would prolly be better.

If you want a free review. I would do Suzannes Plan. It might be lengthy though if you feel like your pretty solid on the material. I'm not too sure.

I didnt like Hurst. I wouldnt personally recommend it. It goes over the basic content, but its not like the test and they dont do test questions that are like the actual test.

I'm using a book right now, its Q&A Saunders and its broken down like the actual test. Theres another book you can find in a book store that deals with priority questions that are pretty much like the actual test. I wouldnt waste money.
