I have a question to occhealth nurses who have encountered this problem: I am a RN in L&D and I have a glomus tumor on my finger (non dominant hand). I had it 5 years ago and it was removed surgically and everything was fine after that. The only problem is that it is very painful and very sensitive to cold - if I touch any cold object - I can barely hold myself from screaming. I probably will have to go on modified work until my next surgery - the only problem is that it will take a few months at least to do it. I will be seeing occhealth doctor soon and my question is: what kind of job he can offer to me? Any ideas? I'd appreciate your responces.

The Occ Doctor will determined after the exam, what you will or will not be able to do at work. He may say something like " no grasping with left hand ", it will then be up to your employer to decide whether they can safely accomodate the work restriction. Although , the initial tumor was not work related, I'm guessing this has become a work related issue?
