Anyone using Guyton's Textbook of Medical Physiology, 10th ed.?

Our upperlevel A&P instructor has used Guyton and Hall's text for years. Just wondered if anyone else has used it. He says it's pretty tough but when you get done you will know your stuff.

Any thoughts??

Very intense and detailed! We used that too...I believe their is a pocket companion, also. It is my understanding that one of the UC campuses utilizes this specific book for pre-med. Personally, I thought it was a bit much, but our instructors swore by it. As long as you have a good foundation in A&P, you'll be fine. Good luck! (one downside was, their was not enough support in the book for self assessment..lots of questions, but not many answers)

I am currently using that book for an Advanced Physio class. I personally hated it and decided not to use it.
