Near Death Experiences

Have any of you ever had a patient tell you of a near death experience? When I worked in the ICU, we got report on a patient being transferred to the unit from a med/surg floor with lung cancer. As part of her report, the transferring nurse told us that he had had a Near Death Experience. Every nurse in that unit who took care of him was aware that he had a NDE, and that info was passed on in subsequent reports. I thought it was unusual.
