I need some words of advice or encouragement on an issue I'm having with CEU's. I just received a letter from the CA board of nursing notifying me of an audit, no problem I thought so went onto Western schools website to print out certificate and to my horror there is no record of course completion only proof of purchase and receipt which is 6 weeks prior to license expiration.After hours back and forth with Western the conclusion is that I did not click a certain tab to submit,I obviously made a stupid mistake and this is human error so Western told me to re do and print out certificate so now the problem is the date of the certificate is 3 months overdue even though I did the course on day of purchase, I feel so stupid and why didn't I print out the day of completion as I would have caught it.. I will write a letter of explanation and send it with my receipt and certificate and mention this was not a deliberate attempt to commit fraud but a stupid mistake by a computer challenged nurse.A fine is no problem as I accept full responsibility for my mistake but I'm hoping they don't suspend my license and of course it's impossible to get through by phone to talk to a live person..Any feedback or words of experience and wisdom would be greatly appreciated as I'm freaking out right now..HELP:nailbiting:

I think you explained the situation and the worst that will happen is a fine. License revocations are for felons, drug diverters and gross negligence. You made a clerical error and have supporting documentation. Deep. Breath.

Thank you so much for your response, I have had the same feedback from others and this is reassuring and yes I've been doing a whole lot of yoga, deep breathing and meditation which is helping..you've helped put my mind at ease and this has been a lesson learned.. slow down and double check when doing anything on line, especially when it's your license .I've written my letter of explanation and am also sending CEU's dating back to 2010, not sure if that's overkill but I'm throwing that in to prove that I've been in compliance in the past, it may help as well..:))))
