I'm just curious how many people worked full time while going through nursing school?

I feel I have made a strong base for myself as far as time management and staying focused. However, nursing school isn't just a whole new ball park. It's an entire different sport! By 2nd term I'll be part of a program where instead of working five days a week I'll only have to work three. But this first term I am going to need to power through.

We have an over night position available if that would help more. But right now I'm school 8am until 1230 and work 1/2-930/1030. I've successfully done sixteen credit hours while maintaining both school and work.... I'm just starting to panic.

I did an accelerated ASN program and I will say with all honesty that 80% of my class worked full time and did the nursing program. Their motto was "C's get degrees". Some of the women in my class had 2-3 kids, were single parents, worked full time, did the program, and passed their NCLEX first time. I learned from them that anything is possible when you have a strong enough motivation to do it. But in full disclosure, almost all of my classmates were also veterans and work world experienced adults. So we were all really good with time management and completing things that had to be completed. Some of them were experienced in healthcare, but most of us were completely new to the field.
